Aird Flavelle is a long-time Abbotsford businessman and community volunteer. He believes that in order to manage a sustainable community he must be a Fiscal Conservative while maintaining some Liberal Social Tendencies (not too many) all blended together by advocating a significant degree of Environmental Protection . As an employer Aird understands the need for a strong economy in our community and he recognizes the strong economy must be supported by solid crime reduction programmes, manageable taxation rates, and firmly entrenched protection for our environment.

Born and raised on Canada’s West Coast, he learned to fly an aeroplane before he could drive a car. At 17 years of age he joined the Australian Army. His formal education includes studies in economics, Oriental languages and aviation. He has been an Abbotsford resident since 1989.
